Too bad we couldn't have kept some for this year. Building a house...? that should be an interesting endeavour.Ruthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15892804871759397018noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17893457.post-9964590184574511602010-04-15T08:22:35.658-07:002010-04-15T08:22:35.658-07:00Its nice that you are back posting. Personally, I'm a bit worried about the fire season ... the seasonal forecast is for drier than usual ... but one can hope.

I too am hoping the mosquitoes will be less this year but last year the black flies were even a worse annoyance.

D too is away for a couple of weeks. I'm always amazed at how quiet the house is when he isn't in it ... and he isn't even a noisy guy!Cicero Singshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13438108795744902961noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17893457.post-72494836287210430162010-04-13T23:47:54.070-07:002010-04-13T23:47:54.070-07:00The balance between too much rain/snow and too lit...The balance between too much rain/snow and too little is always a precarious act - forest fire hazards or mosquitos and vegetation rot? I hope some gentle spring rains help germinate the seeds, and later when they are well established, some heavier rains to keep the fire hazard down.

We escaped winter altogether here on the island this year - and many of the spring flowers are well past their prime.

Give Rupert some luvins from me!Jeanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08231007979360748217noreply@blogger.com
