A Small Life Lost
A few minutes ago, I heard something that sounded like a rock hitting our living room window. I went out to investigate and found a Three-Toed Woodpecker lying on the ground, on its back. I carefully picked him up and held him to keep him warm, and after a moment, he died. Poor little thing.

I've seen these UV stickers you can buy to put on your windows that are transparent to human eyes but are brightly visible to birds. It's supposed to keep them from running into your windows, but not obstruct your view. Might be worth looking into?
