Progress...

The "hay shed" is complete, and the hay moved in. It's actually a temporary metal framed structure with attached tarps...and considering there were no instructions and we didn't have a clue what we were doing, I'd say we did a fine job.

The garden shed is almost ready to assemble, we unstacked it today, and moved the walls into place ready to put together. We're going to insulate the floor before we put it together, so if we choose, we'll have the option of heating it in the winter.

The heat has been driving us indoors by noon...and unfortunately by about 3 pm it's as hot inside as outside...there's a "severe thunderstorm watch" for our area on Environment Canada's weather reports, but at the moment it's not really looking like much will happen. We shall see.

Jasper and Gillis had cool showers to a) get clean, and b) cool off this afternoon. Lucy (who loves swimming and goes into every possible body of water) finds being bathed very traumatic and cause for hysteria. She went without.

Treats this evening from Carter's Cones - gotta try and beat the heat somehow.

Being hosed is much more frightening than being bathed...she's the world's biggest ninny when it comes to anything related to a bath/shower/wash

Yes she makes it sound like someone is severely beating her with a blunt heavy object...
