Letters from Home
That has got to be the cutest dang donkey ever. And the perfect name!
He's way too cute, and he knows it. And I agree, there was never a better donkey name than Rupert. He's the second miniature donkey named Rupert I have known, the first was when I was about 14...when I found out this one was a Rupert too, there was nothing to do but bring him home!
Um, does Rupert have a job around the farm? Other than being adorable, of course.Does he help trim the grasses? How does he get along with the other animals?I'll check back...
We acquired Rupert to keep Buck company, which he does quite well. They pretend they don't care much for each other, but they're always within sight of each other. We had to separate them in the fall, because Rupert was getting far too chubby, first eating his own hay, and then helping himself to Buck's. There's only a wire fence between them, and soon I'll put them back together again. He puts up with the dogs, and apparently used to live with sheep. He used to live at a private 9 hole golf course and used to chase golf balls too!
